Description

Blanking plug for the throttle body vacuum line.

The vacuum line from the 20vt throttle body is usually blanked off when carrying out a 1.8t conversion into other cars or when tidying the engine bay, this usually leaves an unsightly 90' elbow which is usually capped off with a silicon bung. These aluminium plugs replace the 90' elbow, simply pull the brass elbow out of your throttle body (can be pretty tight) and epoxy glue this aluminium plug in its place, this tidy's the engine bay and also gives more bonnet clearance on converted cars.

Designed for my AGU throttle body but will also fit other engine codes

fitment guide

This is a general guide of how i fitted mine, please refer to any safety data sheets and manufacturers instructions for any chemicals you use.

  • If you can remove the throttle body this would be helpful!
  • using a pair of pliers wiggle and remove the 90' brass vacuum fitting, ive not removed a plastic one so cant provide info on removal of those.
  • clean the now vacant hole in the throttle body with some degrease
  • using some sand paper key the port and plug horizontally to give something for the glue to key into. then thoroughly degrease again.

  • make sure the plug fits the hole!
  • cover the plug surface with epoxy glue using the glue instructions, cover the full surface

  • stick the plug in and leave for as long as the glue instructions state.
  • grab a beer and chill
